Terms and Conditions

Definitions:            African Statistics (Pty) Ltd (the Company)
                                Any person accessing information on this web site (the subscriber)

All information of whatever nature, whether printed, electronic, typed, written or oral, is supplied by the Company in the strictest confidence for the personal use of the subscriber and for no other purpose whatever, without the prior written consent of the Company. The information so supplied is STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL and shall not be divulged to third.

The Company shall not be liable for any loss suffered by any person as the result of any action or omission on the part of the Company, or its employees, agents correspondents, accountants or attorneys in procuring, collecting and communicating or failing to communicate any information to the subscriber. Whilst the Company undertakes to use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that the information supplied is accurate, no liability of whatever nature shall attach to the Company, its employees agents, correspondents, accountants or attorneys for a mistake error or omission in the information supplied, nor does the Company in any way guarantee the correctness or accuracy of the information supplied.

Any information provided shall in no way be construed as the Company’s opinion on the solvency, financial standing, integrity or motives of the parties reported upon, but merely reflects an analysis of certain information compiled by the Company from various sources.

The subscriber indemnifies the Company against any loss of whatever nature that it may suffer as a result of a breach by the subscriber of any of the terms and conditions of this contract.

The subscriber expressly waives and renounces all its rights of whatever nature that it may have against the Company for any loss suffered by it, as a result of any information supplied by the Company being incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate.

AFRICAN STATISTICS (PTY) LTD is hereby permitted to reserve to itself the right to terminate the subscription at any time.

The subscriber acknowledges that the information supplied by the Company is published/made available for information purposes only and that any action taken by the subscriber pursuant to that information, is taken at the sole risk of the subscriber.

If the contract on the reverse is exceeded at any time during the contract period as stated, the subscriber agrees to pay such overuse or extension.

If the cost of the service is increased as a result of measures prescribed by Government Authority or for any other reason, then the price schedule may be revised by AFRICAN STATISTICS (PTY) LTD to cover increased costs. In such event, however, the subscriber shall have the option of continuing the contract on a revised basis, or of discontinuing the service, whereupon AFRICAN STATISTICS (PTY) LTD must be advised in writing by the subscriber of their intention to terminate this agreement.

The conditions of the subscription are fully set forth in this agreement. Any amendment., alteration, release or cancellation of any of its provisions shall be made in writing by a Director of AFRICAN STATISTICS (PTY) LTD.

AFRICAN STATISTICS (PTY) LTD does not provide any computer equipment to subscribers.

Whilst the Company undertakes to use the endeavours to ensure the subscriber to electronic on-line information has access to such information, the Company will in no way guarantee the said hours for electronic access.

No refund, in the form of a service, shall be made during the contract period, on the anniversary date or after the expiry period unless authorised in writing by the Directors of AFRICAN STATISTICS (PTY) LTD.
